Yep, all of my books (except for All the Young Warriors) are FREE for your Kindle today. Just today.
The Early Crap will be free until Tuesday.
Why? Eh, I dunno. Just curious, I suppose, to see what happens. Enjoy.

Have you ever number crunched sales numbers both before and after free copy giveaways? Do free downloads of one title lead to sales of other novels? Lee Goldberg wrote about doing that before, but that may have been a couple years ago.
The whole Kindle "free stuff" has been hashed over but I've not read the arguments or discussions. I'm all for free stuff and if authors want to do so then great. But, I prefer writers get paid for their work and keep writing things for me to enjoy.

Yes, I prefer to get paid, too. In order to do that, I need more readers than I currently have who will be willing to buy my future books. In order to do that, I need them to know that I and my books exist. These free things help do that. They also help tell the Amazon engine that people who get these freebies have also bought other books, and people who bought those other books might also like mine, which by that time are back on sale.
And yes, the numbers crunch shows an increase after. Sometimes a big one, sometimes a small one, but mostly an increase (although thats going to disappear as more writers put more stuff up for free, but for now, were not quite there yet).
Of course, having someone else tell the readers I and my books exist is preferable (like a publisher or a PR person), but until such a time as that happens, Im gonna use whatever tools Ive got.
