So I Won a Spinetingler. Time for that bottle of Cupcake Merlot.

I know, I know, I bitched because they overlooked Plots with Guns for Best Zine (congrats to the Factory, by the way), and I also thought I 100% ZERO chance of winning the thing (did you see the other nominees?), but I somehow managed to pull out a victory in the Rising Star category for All the Young Warriors. 

I. Am. Humbled. 

Thanks so much to Spinetingler and to all of the people out there who voted for the book. You've done made a grouchy, bitter writer a tad bit happier this afternoon (as an impending thunderstorm threatening tornadoes bears down on us).
